If we’re talking about wedding day, we all want it to be as beautiful and memorable as possible, especially us girls.. We want to look perfect from head to toe.. Hair and make-up, even our hand bouquet.. But one thing we might not paying attention too much is shapewear.. I have a petite body and it never crossed my mind that I need to wear a shapewear under my wedding dress, I mean, why? But then my mom told me, even if you’re skinny, a shapewear is important not only give your body a better shape, but also to hold your posture.. And so my journey to find the perfect shapewear began..
Finding the perfect shapewear is tricky.. It can’t be too tight or too loose.. I think I tried around 5-6 shapewears before I finally found the one.. My wedding dress is an off-shoulder dress and for the reception, I removed the sabrina sleeves so it became a tube dress.. That’s why I chose the corset shapewear like the picture above because I didn’t feel the need to also shape my thighs area.. Remember if you choose this model, it will be better if when you wear it on the middle hooks, because during wedding preparation, your body can gain/lose weight, if now you’re in the middle, you don’t have to worry much.. 😉
Another shapewear alternative is a bodysuit type which covers your butt and thigh area as well.. Depends on your wedding dress model.. For plus size body type, you don’t have to worry because nowadays a lot brands also make a plus size shapewear bodysuit, for instance ShapeLLX and Skims by Kim Kardashian-West.. The most interesting point of having a shapewear is that you can wear it not only on your wedding day but also daily, under your summer dresses, or even for working out.. Yes during your usual work out such as jogging, cycling, and at the gym.. The goal of those shapewear is to help you sweat more while maintaining your body shape..
