Timeless Pieces

Fashion seasons come and go, what’s on trend this year might not be next year.. But some pieces such as leather jackets, jeans / denim, white tops are timeless.. We’ve seen them since ages ago until now, and I believe we will still see them in the future.. So either you’re fashion lovers or you’re thinking to buy fashion items for the long haul, this post is for you.. I’ve featured some classic pieces and styled them to be worn around Spring, Summer, and Fall..

Classic leather jacket. Let’s start with leather jackets, there are plenty of them now in the market, different colors, shapes, and details.. But if you’re looking for the most versatile and style-wise can last long, go for the classic black one..  And trust me, you won’t need to buy another one until it’s broken.. You can wear them with anything like I did in this post, 3 different styles and the possibilities still endless..

Matching set. Do you know that the matchy-matchy trend was started in the 70s? And 50 years later, we still find them everywhere, from the runway, red carpets, to street styles.. This pieces won’t go anywhere anytime soon.. It can be top with trousers, top with skirt, or blazer with pants, etc.. You can play with patterns or keep it simple by wearing the same color co-ord. Me, myself, I have the one in stripes (top-skirt) I bought a long time ago and this olive colored co-ord I got from Femme Luxe. You can never go wrong with matching set, just play with some accessories and you’re good to go..

Denim style. From kids to adults, even seniors, everybody can wear this style and that’s why it is timeless. Brands all over the world are making various fashion pieces using denim materials but I must say the top 2 denim pieces are jeans and jackets/shirts. Almost everybody has at least 1 denim item in their wardrobe, either dress, jeans, top, or denim hat, you name it.. And it’s ok to have several denim pieces, easy to mix and match plus like I’ve mentioned, they’re timeless, even they can be passed down to younger generation if it’s still in a good shape..

As for me, I’ve always wanted a boyfriend jeans and I never scored one because it’s either too big (even the smallest size) or it didn’t look good on me.. But last year I finally got one from Femme Luxe (I wore it here) and I like the fitting, that’s why I ordered another one from them but this time I chose the ripped one.. I decided to go 1 size up (size 8) because I want to wear it longer, in case I gain weight later.. And so far this is my favourite!

White tops, especially T-shirt. Who will ever get bored with white tops? I wrote about why we should have a white piece(s) in our wardrobe.. Yes you’ll find millions of white tops out there, but owning a white T-shirt is definitely where you want to start.. When you’re lazy but have to go for a quick groceries, just wear your t-shirt with training pants.. When you ran out of ideas what to wear, just grab your outerwear and wear them with your t-shirt, you can go masculine or feminine, you can be a girl nextdoor or a celebrity, white T-shirt is your bestfriend.. It might not be the hottest trend but it is a timeless one, for sure..

In this post I wore it with a pleated skirt and again, a leather jacket.. I’ve styled the same white T-shirt with another timeless item, brown long coat / trench coat, you can check out how to style them in this post..
