It was the first day of August and the sun was blasting hot when we arrived in Verona.. Very different with the weather in Netherlands and Paris.. Did I tell you that I didn’t expect the weather to be so gloomy and windy? I brought all my summer clothes from Jakarta, the ones that I usually wear in Bali, meaning that I packed my clothes very ready to embrace the sunny Europe.. So my outfit for the first 2 weeks was a bit repetitive.. That’s why when I checked the weather forecast before went to Verona, I was freakin happy! I’ve been longing for some sun since day one in Europe and now, it’s going to be above 34 degree Celsius for the next 5 days.. Finally I can show some skin, well quite a lot perhaps.. 😛
The temperature was 38 degrees with no clouds as far as the eyes can see.. This is the real summertime! I have to tell you even though I was born and raised in a tropical country, this kind of weather is new for me.. The heat is no joke! But hey I always say I prefer hot than cold weather and it’s still true..
Now, talking about the right outfit to wear, dealing with a very hot hot summer time, I prefer to wear clothes with either sweat absorbing fabric like cotton or light material.. And since I was going to walk the whole day around under the hot sun, I’d like to keep my outfit very practical.. That’s why I chose this olive colored crop tank top with the grey POMELO skirt which is perfect because not only the material is super light but also the side bow accent is really on point so it’s still simple but with a little twist..
Adding some accessories will help to elevate the whole look ,like what I did here with stacked necklaces and all time favorite sunglasses.. Still match the the condition and not too all over the place..
For the shoes, you might wonder why I wore boots in summer.. Well, to be honest I can’t wear sneakers, believe it or not, it makes my feet hurt.. I tried it for a couple times before and it just didn’t work.. So this time I brought boots and gladiator sandal.. Yes, probably you’ve seen me wearing this boots multiple times and without a doubt, this is the most comfortable shoes ever so far.. I can wear it the whole day and doesn’t hurt at all.. Plus it went well with my look.. Comfortable shoes is really important during traveling, you don’t want to have so many blisters on your feet or even the unpredictable spending on shoes because your feet couldn’t stand it anymore (yeap! Been there done that too girls)
Well I think that’s it for now, I’ll post about my trip in the beautiful city of Verona on the next post.. So stay tuned!
